Rhode Island 2025

Before

After

This homeowner wants to better support birds and wildlife in the yard.
Gardens are filling-in as plants establish. Some of them needed protection from hungry herbivores.
After removing the aggressive vinca, the homeowner plants to plant native, shade-loving plants to help biodiversity.
Invasive vinca covered this area but volunteer natives, including; aster, bloodroot, spicebush, goldenrod, ferns, and poison ivy, were encouraged to grow and are now overtaking the vinca.
Sunny site near feeders will get some native plant additions.
Lots of space and options to add natives to this garden.

Remaining Before Photos

Garden site will receive some new native plant additions.
